a wander round town with my bezzi K and and some fun with black and white shots, looking for contrast of light and dark and unusual locations.

best thing to do in september
end of the road festival, happened on the weekend of the 3rd of september. an excellent line up and as always incredible vibes. This was the third time i've been to EOTR and i highly recomend it. see for yourself and check out the website and buy your ticket now! haha i'm not a paid salesman but this festival is epic. here are a few phots: from art installations to bands.
The Studio Hut
this is the space in which i work while in sunny sussex, it is an old summer house and the interior currently holds what i call 'inspiration' although really its just a load of postcards and pictures collected over several months.

Hello Hello!
This is a shout out to anyone who's heard of the Allotment society but wants to know more. We meet each sunday from 2-4 at Trevs reception. Anyone can come along, so if you fancy a bit of getting down and dirty knee deep in veg, then pop along.
We have a couple of phots of our first social, a cream tea affair with homemade bread scones and amazing muffins and we were pleased to see loads of you come along. Theres also gonna be something in the Durham Bubble online magazine about our society so keep an eye on the food section in that. http://www.thebubble.org.uk/food/
Last week, a surprising number of you braved the rain to come along and thanks to Ed we had something to plant. This was Winter rye grass and winter field bean, these are both used as a green manure and ground cover plant over the winter. We have experimented with a couple of planting techniques, including alternate rows and a scatter mix (we were getting a bit cold and wet by the time we got to the last bed.)
This week we'll be seeing what, if anything, has germinated.
Another social will be coming soon, so keep an eye on the e-mails. durhamuniallotsoc@hotmail.co.uk
Stash is also on its way so make sure you place your order now.
See y'all soon

Great Start
We had an excellent start with the first meeting of our new members and it was great to see you all at the Trevs Allotment. Apologies to anyone who did not receive last weeks e-mail, there were some initial problems with the mailing list which have now been rectified, so if you didn't before hopefully you'll hear from us for the first time soon.
The first jobs on our extensive list included the removal of some pesky metal poles that littered the site, luckily the LAD section of our new recruits set to and ousted most of them this sunday.
We also outlined some new vegetable beds and began weeding them, so cheers everyone for an excellent first session.

A warm welcome to all new members.
It was great to see so many of you at the freshers fair, and we can't wait to see you all again soon. An e-mail will arrive shortly once we get organised....
We're working on getting some stash and have just been to check our beautiful Allotment prior to seeing you all.
We'll be setting up a meeting to talk through what we'll be doing before the planting season gets underway. We'll have some pics from the fair soon!
